This website is part of an initiative by the Irish Computer Society (the ICS) to assist Board Members in dealing with the need for cyber resilience in the organisations of which they are board members.

The initiative follows a survey of Board Members of Irish organisations undertaken by the ICS in September/October 2020. The results of this survey show, inter alia, that many board members in Ireland are not satisfied that they know enough about cyber threats in general and cyber resilience in particular. The results of the survey also make it clear that urgent action is required in many boardrooms to equip organisations with the ability to bounce back quickly from cyber-attack.

There is an enormous amount of information on cyber security and resilience available on the Web. It is easy to become lost or overwhelmed.

This website has been deliberately designed to be concise, easy to use and convey the essential knowledge that all Board Members should have about this topic.
